The village of Gingst with its museum of artisanry, the pottery, the bookstore, the café which is part of the open-air museum (which serves a fresh tray’baked cake that redefines the word delicious!) and its book village is definitely worth a stroll. Each Friday a farmers’ market takes place in the courtyard of the museum and once a month an arts and crafts market is on.

The most beautiful beach around is the 10 km long and up to 50 m wide Schaabe, which is situated between Glowe auf Jasmund and Juliusruh auf Wittow.
